Dayton region expected to buck home trends in 2019


Rising rates and home prices will make it more difficult to buy or sell a home next year, according to realtor.com’s 2019 housing forecast. The group predicts housing sales to drop 2 percent nationally next year.

However, the Dayton region is forecasted to post gains. The Miami Valley will see a 0.7 percent hike in home sales next year along with a 0.9 percent increase in home prices.
