Demand for doctors outstrips supply


Demand for doctors continued to increase in 2018 with physician job postings growing significantly year-over-year in many of the largest metropolitan areas, a situation that experts say could signal an early warning of demand outstripping the supply of medical talent.

The U.S. Physician Employment Report compiled by medical social network Doximity found that demand grew by 7 percent last year, outpacing a 5.1 percent growth rate in 2017.
