Despite cooldown, Denver’s among the hottest apartment construction markets


Despite seeing a drop in multifamily building permits, Denver is the nation's seventh-hottest apartment building market, according to data released Wednesday by Richardson, Texas-based apartment data firm RealPage Inc.

In the year ending in May 2018, Denver saw 10,343 multifamily homebuilding permits recorded, a 14.4 percent year-over-year increase.

New York City, with 30,562 multifamily permits, is No. 1, followed by Dallas, with 20,191 permits.
