Developer plans apartments at former Thor site in Brooklyn Park

A Brooklyn Park project where Thor Cos. residential-building subsidiary once planned an apartment complex may still become housing — just with a different developer at the helm.

Finance & Commerce reports on plans by Coalition Development of Brooklyn Park, which has proposed a 113-unit, four-story building on a city-owned parcel at at 3606 61st Ave. N.

The city plans to sell the 1.79-acre property to Coalition for $655,000, but the deal hasn't closed yet.
