Developer proposes $37.7M, 14-building apartment project near Shelby Farms Park

A Birmingham-based apartment developer is planning to develop 267 more apartments on the edge of Shelby Farms Park.

Arlington Properties is seeking a tax break worth almost $600,000 to help them build the $37.7 million, 14-building project at 7620 Raleigh LaGrange Road.

The tax break would be through a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) program Memphis created in 2018 specifically for developers hurt by the city's sewer capacity issues.
