Director of TMC Innovation Institute steps down


Erik Halvorsen, director of the Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute, stepped down from his position, according to multiple sources.

Halvorsen led the TMC Innovation Institute since 2015, when he and his family moved to Houston after living in the Boston area for 15 years. While in Massachusetts, he served as executive director of the technology and innovation development office for Boston Children’s Hospital, and worked as senior executive director of technology transfer and industry collaborations…
