Dogwood State Bank to take over coastal charter, move HQ to Raleigh


Less than two months after withdrawing its startup application, the team behind Dogwood State Bank has a new plan to create a Raleigh-headquartered, statewide financial institution: take over management of a coastal entity.

Steve Jones, who hopes to be the CEO of Dogwood, confirms his team has reached an agreement to take over management, board of directors and brand of what's now known as Morehead City-based Sound Bank.
