Downtown property owner sentenced for insurance, arson fraud


A downtown Sacramento business and property owner received a prison sentence of nearly five years Thursday after being convicted of fraud connected to insurance claims and arson on the property.

Saber A. Shehadeh, 76, was convicted last June in federal court on three counts of mail fraud before receiving a sentence Thursday of four years and nine months in federal prison.
