Downtown Shawnee may add sit-down restaurant in place of a liquor store


The family that owns a liquor store and retail strip in downtown Shawnee hopes to redevelop the property to accommodate one or two additional retail/restaurant tenants. The plan falls in line with the city's efforts to create more opportunities for people to come to the downtown — and stick around.
