East Boston CDC buys $47M in apartments to keep them affordable


East Boston CDC has purchased three dozen apartment buildings in East Boston in a first-of-its-kind transaction meant to keep the housing permanently affordable. The CDC worked with City Hall and local foundations to set up a new type of trust meant to keep the housing permanently income-restricted.
