EmergeOrtho sued over cyberattack impacting personal data for 75K people


Social Security numbers, birth dates and other personal data for tens of thousands of patients may have been compromised in a ransomware attack at a North Carolina physicians group.

That’s according to a lawsuit filed against EmergeOrtho in Durham and designated to the North Carolina Business Court this week.
