Emory Healthcare has hired the COO of South Carolina's academic health science center to lead three of its hospitals.
Emory said Wednesday that, after a nationwide search, it picked Matt Wain as CEO for Emory University Hospital, Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital and Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods. He succeeds Dr. Bryce Gartland, who was named Emory Healthcare Hospital Group President last September. Wain is scheduled to begin in his new role Aug. 19, 2019.
