Ex-Mexican restaurant owner gets year in prison


A man who owned a trio of Mexican restaurants in the Buffalo area was sentenced to a year in prison for tax evasion and employing illegal workers.

Sergio Ramses Mucino worked with co-defendants Jose Sanchez-Ocampo and Marguin Sanchez to hire at least 10 illegal workers at the former restaurants he owned – Don Tequila in Buffalo, El Agave in Cheektowaga and La Davina in Kenmore, U.S. Attorney James Kennedy said.
