Facebook Inc. reportedly may introduce a cryptocurrency people can use to transfer money on WhatsApp.
Bloomberg cited unnamed sources who said the first place the messaging app money transfers would happen is likely to be in India. Facebook would be the first big tech company to launch such a product.
Its cryptocurrency would reportedly be pegged to the U.S. dollar — a variety known as a "stablecoin" because it would be less volatile than bitcoin and other more widely used digital currencies.…
