Fertitta’s blank-check co. to acquire restaurant-ordering platform


A blank-check company created by Tilman Fertitta's Fertitta Entertainment Inc. and New York-based Leucadia National Corp. in 2016 has found a company to acquire.

Houston-based Landcadia Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LCA) — Fertitta's special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — will acquire Lake Charles, Louisiana-based Waitr Inc. for $308 million.
