Filmmakers pin hopes of surge in Texas movie, TV production on legislature


Millions of dollars are being invested in new film studios across the Austin area. Filling those spaces with movie and TV productions requires more state support, including additional incentives, industry advocates say. They agree that this session of the Texas Legislature is shaping up as a good one for their sector: "This is going to be a very vital session for us, to the likes we've never seen before."
