First Look: Blue Star developer’s South Side project taking shape


Construction crews tasked with transforming a former meat packing plant south of downtown into a new residential and arts complex have made major headway.

What was abandoned space along Roosevelt Avenue near the San Antonio River is beginning to take shape as The South Side, a new mixed-use development that will be home to more than 60 residential units, as well as new maker spaces and art exhibition areas.
