Fiserv, Visa and Samsung partner on software that turns mobile devices into payment terminals


Fiserv Inc. has partnered with two of the biggest companies in technology and digital payments for software that will allow businesses to accept payments with the wave of a smartphone or tablet.

Contactless credit cards, where people can make payments through radio frequency technology instead of swiping or inserting cards into a device, have been in circulation for a few years, but most merchants were using point-of-sale devices to accept payment.
