Following positive test for Salmonella, Outpost recalls products ‘out of an abundance of caution’


Meat and food processing at an Outpost Natural Foods facility are halted after products tested positive for Salmonella.

The city of Milwaukee announced in a Friday news release that the city and state have suspended the processing at 2826 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. because of “insanitary conditions.”

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection suspended the cooperative’s meat establishment license, and the city suspended the location’s retail food processing activities,…
