Food tech startup Bitewell to launch an AI-powered food ‘farmacy’

Albeit a relatively new term, a food "farmacy" provides patients with fresh or frozen food that aligns with a physician’s prescription. These outlets are often located in care centers or areas with food-insecure populations.

Denver-based Bitewell soon will launch one of its own. Bitewell said it is the first corporate food health benefits provider and will soon be the world’s first digital food farmacy. The company will be incorporating an AI pharmacist to help streamline delivery.
