Former South High Panera getting new life as neighborhood bar


A former Panera Bread location is going back to its local roots.

Cobra is coming to the space at 684 S. High St. later this year in the Brewery District/German Village area.

That building has a long and notable local food history. Prior to becoming a Panera in 2014, the site was home to The Clarmont, which served steaks and martinis for 65 years before it closed in 2012.

The Panera closed last fall.
