Foxconn Technology Group started pouring the concrete foundations for its first major manufacturing facility in Mount Pleasant.
That building, set for completion in late 2020, will also be the first LCD screen fabrication facility of its type in North America. It will have nearly 1 million square feet of building space, and its concrete foundation work will last through the summer, Foxconn said Wednesday. The first pour this week includes 65,000 cubic yards of concrete.
