FTC, North Carolina want ‘pharma bro’ Martin Shkreli held in contempt over new drug company


The state of North Carolina is included among eight plaintiffs targeting so-called “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli – asking a federal judge to find him in contempt of court for starting another company.

The Federal Trade Commission filed suit in January 2020 alongside a handful of states including North Carolina, New York, California, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
