GameStop co-founder sells Mill District condo for $1.85M


A rare Mill District penthouse in Minneapolis that belonged to the co-founder of GameStop Corp. has sold for $1.85 million.

R. Richard Fontaine and his wife, Eileen, sold the unit Nov. 9 to a Minnetonka-based LLC, according to a recent electronic real estate filing. Fontaine retired from his role as a board member for the video game retailer in 2016 and previously served as CEO from 1996 to 2002.
