Good ol’ bud now makes up less than half of Oregon retail cannabis sales


Everything starts with the plant, but when it comes to Oregon retail sales, the money is increasingly in cannabis in different forms.

The research firm BDS Analytics reports that flower declined from 54 percent of dispensary sales in Oregon in the first quarter of 2017 to 44 percent in the first quarter this year.

Bud gave ground to concentrates, which rose from 21 percent to 27 percent of the market, and edibles, which rose from 11 percent to 16 percent of sales.
