Greater Nashville home sales see a big dip in September

Last month brought another sign of Nashville’s cooling housing market.

The Greater Nashville Realtors today announced that the region saw 3,258 home closings in September, down 8 percent compared to a year ago.

It follows a 2 percent uptick in August and a 1.5 percent decrease in July.

Single-family homes sold in September for a median price of $290,000, up from $280,000 a year ago. Condo units sold for a median price of $218,150, down from $223,450 a year ago.
