Has the Aetna and Humana deal hit a snag?


Missouri's insurance regulators are asking Humana Inc. and Aenta Inc. to make changes before the state approves their pending merger.

On May 24, the state issued an order that said it had concerns about competition in the pending $37 billion deal between Humana (NYSE: HUM) and Aenta (NYSE: AET). If the deal were to move forward, both would need to stop selling individual, small-group and some Medicare Advantage plans in many Missouri counties.
