Hattie B's Hot Chicken is set to open its first Austin restaurant in fall 2023. It's taking over the vacant Maria's Taco Xpress brick-and-mortar space at 2529 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin Business Journal first reported on Sept. 30. But that won't be all. The Nashville-based chain known for spicy fried chicken aims to open several other locations in Austin, executives told ABJ.
