Hawaii banks, businesses to reopen Saturday as Lane is downgraded to tropical storm

Hawaii banks and shopping centers, including Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, planned to reopen on a rainy Saturday, following reports that Lane had been downgraded to a tropical storm after threatening the Islands at one point this week as a category 4 hurricane.

Ala Moana Center, which closed early on Thursday and all day Friday, planned to reopen the mall at noon on Saturday. Royal Hawaiian Center and International Market Place in Waikiki both planned to open at 10 a.m.
