Health care startup Ounce raises $5.2M to broaden services for low-income households


Ounce, a Washington, D.C.-based community health care support organization, has raised $5.2 million in seed funding and struck up partnerships with a local insurance provider and housing nonprofit to help it improve the quality of health care for low-income households.

The funding round was co-led by New York-based Meridian Street Capital and Boston-based Flare Capital Partners, with participation from Chelsea Clinton’s Metrodora Ventures, Wilshire Lane Capital, Hilton Worldwide Holdings…
