Healthy foods vending company gets $30M in funding


The dismal trudge to the office vending machine to pick up a poor substitute for lunch could soon have a healthier outcome thanks to a Chicago company that puts nutritious meals and snacks behind glass.

Farmer’s Fridge recently secured a $30 million round of funding led by Innovation Endeavors, a venture capital firm co-founded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt which focuses on investing in visionary founders, transformational technology and emergent ecosystems.
