Following a low-carbohydrate, high-protein eating plan may increase your risk of fatal heart disease, according to a new study.
The study, published in the American Heart Association journal Circulation: Heart Failure, found that the men with a high protein intake, especially from animal sources, had a 33 percent increased risk overall of developing heart failure.
