Houston City Council to vote on creating TIRZ for Texas Medical Center area

With a taxable value of $143 million, if created, the TIRZ would help put millions into different projects for the specific area over the next 30 years. Projects include an emergency water situation in coordination with Houston Public Works; drainage improvements; improvements to Main Street, Fannin Street, Holcombe Boulevard, Cambridge Street and Holly Hall Street; and increased bike and pedestrian connectivity.
