How Atlanta baker Sarah Dodge is using a crowdfunded loan to open her own shop


Sarah Dodge made a bet that Atlantans wanted to invest in good bread.

That wager appears to be paying off.

Dodge, who has supplied wholesale goods to local restaurants and offered a retail delivery service, will open Collette Bread and Bakeshop in Atlanta's Poncey-Highland neighborhood. Dodge signed a five-year lease for a space within the retail strip that is part of the Otto's Apartment Hotel redevelopment on North Highland Avenue, according to an announcement posted on social media.
