How home sizes in Raleigh rank in the US


Homeowners in Raleigh like to live large.

That’s according to a new report that found houses in the City of Oaks are among the biggest in the country. The median home size in Raleigh is 1,795 square feet, good for eighth among the 45 metro areas in the analysis, conducted by Lending Tree, an online lending exchange company.

The list is top heavy with Texas cities — Houston is first, and Dallas and Austin are in the top five — as well as other metros in the South, such as Atlanta and Orlando.
