Humana sues the federal government to stop $4.7 billion clawback in Northern District of Texas Fort Worth

Humana filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Fort Worth Division as it seeks to block a new policy that would enable Medicare to clawback $4.7 billion in payments to insurance companies. The new policy — called the “Final Rule” — is for calculating payment recoveries in Medicare Advantage audits.
