Hunters Point Shipyard development adds schools, hotel and factory space to its project as city approves redesign


San Francisco's largest approved project will add schools, a hotel and a factory to its mix of new housing after a city commission approved a redesign proposed by developer Five Point Holdings LLC.

According to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, the city approved a proposal for The Hunters Point Shipyard project that would:

Add a 120-room hotel to the project.
Add as many as three educational campuses.
Add a factory building with maker space.
