Hyatt unloads Union Square hotel as part of $1 billion portfolio sale


The iconic Grand Hyatt San Francisco is going home with a new owner now that a Maryland-based real estate company has picked it up as part of a portfolio sale worth $1 billion.

Host Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: HST) has now entered into a definitive agreement with Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) for the 668-room property in Union Square, the 301-room Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort and the 454-room Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Florida.
