IDS Center could fully reopen on Monday after water-related electrical outages cause partial closure


Twenty-six floors of the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis remained closed on Friday, but could reopen as soon as Monday.

Dozens of floors were evacuated and closed to tenants starting on Wednesday, when an overflow in one of the building's water expansion tanks caused an electrical outage. Floors 26 through 51 remained closed on Thursday.

On Friday afternoon, the building tested and decided the electric system wasn't yet ready to start back up. The building's owner, Accesso Partners, is optimistic…
