James Beard semifinalist Ann Ahmed’s Loring Park restaurant will be called Gai Noi


Chef Ann Ahmed, who this year won her first recognition as a James Beard semifinalist, has shared new details about her upcoming restaurant in Loring Park in the former 4 Bells building.

Ahmed posted on Instagram that the new restaurant will be named Gai Noi — short for khao gai noi, a type of short grain glutinous rice emblematic of the northern regions of Laos where she and her family are from.
