JPMorgan Chase cutting jobs in Texas, sending work elsewhere


JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to cut 102 jobs in Houston this fall, according to a letter sent to the Texas Workforce Commission.

The affected positions are branch support jobs in its Chase Consumer & Community Banking, Customer Protection Services and Workforce Management units.

Their functions will be assigned to other sites, JPMorgan Chase spokesman Greg Hassell told the Houston Business Journal via email. No other details were given.
