Julie Powell, who changed the way we write about cooking, dies


Julie Powell did as much to change the way we all look at the sometimes-daunting task of cooking as her inspiration, Julia Child.

The woman behind the movie "Julie and Julia" died last week at the age of 49. Her husband, Eric Powell, said the cause was cardiac arrest, The New York Times reported.
