Kaiser Permanente exec joins CDC Foundation board of directors


The board leading the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's philanthropic foundation continues to expand, saying Wednesday it's added Vanessa M. Benavides, an executive with Kaiser Permanente, to the group.

Benavides, who serves as senior vice president and chief compliance and privacy officer for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, pushes the CDC Foundation's board membership to 17.
