KC Fed breaks an 82-year record for time to name a new president


When Jeffrey Schmid succeeds Esther George on Aug. 21, it will represent the longest gap between presidents in the history of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. But it's not the only delay or the longest in the system, which is seeing gaps between presidents more frequently.
