KC loosens affordable housing set-aside policy in effort to get more new residences built


Since going into effect in April 2021, the city's affordable housing set-asides have not produced any new affordable units in multifamily projects receiving incentives. Council members on Thursday eased those requirements in an attempt to entice more private residential construction.
