Kleiner Perkins has a hearty helping of Beyond Meat’s whopper of an IPO


Kleiner Perkins has been faulted for missing out on a new generation of unicorns, but it got to crow Thursday about one that it spotted early — Beyond Meat Inc.

Kleiner is the biggest investor in Beyond Meat (NASDAQ: BYND), the Los Angeles-based meat substitute maker, holding a nearly 16 percent pre-IPO stake in the business.
