Kohl’s sets opening date for store that will test small-format concept


Kohl's Corp. (NYSE: KSS) will open its new small-format concept store in Tacoma, Washington's Tacoma Mall on Nov. 4 — just in time for the holiday shopping season.

At 35,000 square feet, the location will feature local items, self-service options and a Sephora makeup counter. Its decor will have Pacific Northwest touches, such as concrete floors.

The company's full-size department stores are typically closer to 85,000 square feet.
