Lennar buys 31-acre tree farm in Miami-Dade to build townhouses


Lennar Homes acquired a 32.2-acre site near Homestead for $9.5 million with plans to build a townhouse community and some commercial space.

SFI Palm Tree Farms LLC, an affiliate of New York-based iStar Financial, sold the tree farm at 11406 S.W. 248th Street to the Miami-based homebuilder, a subsidiary of Lennar Corp. (NYSE: LEN). The property was seized in foreclosure in 2012 from an agricultural business.
