Local pitmaster joins judges’ table on ‘Chopped Grill Masters’


Melissa Cookston, owner and pitmaster at Memphis Barbecue Co., will serve as a judge on the new season of "Chopped Grill Masters."

In episodes based around 'cue from Memphis; Kansas City, Missouri; North Carolina; and Texas, four grill masters will compete in three rounds — appetizer, entrée and dessert — using a mystery basket of ingredients; each episode will also include a hometown speciality in one of the baskets.
