Longtime city employee pleads guilty to federal bribery charge


Former city official John M. Lynch on Friday pleaded guilty to accepting $50,000 in bribes in an attempt to use his position to convince a member of Boston’s Zoning Board to vote in a way that would boost the profits of an unnamed real-estate developer in a property sale, federal prosecutors said.
